I had the same issue as samuelbromley but I played it to the win state anyway :) Even though the base resolution is supposed to be 160x144 for GBJAM you are allowed to upscale. If you develop the game a little further I recommend upscaling by 2 or 4. The upgrades are nice though at first I wasnt sure if they were enemies :)
Enemies only show up once you've dodged enough stars for your score to exceed 1000 I think. That is the full screen, but I have no idea what's causing that weird blue border, I probably uploaded it wrong somehow.
Could you elaborate on that? Would an increase in speed help, or is it more specific than that? Any suggestions on how to improve on that? Currently, pressing a direction moves the ship one pixel in that direction per frame while the button is held down. Maybe acceleration and deceleration could help?

Pew pew pew! Liked the sound and the ship!
it seems to be only showing a portion of the screen for me. also, i see no enemies.

Try to edit the iframe width and height, something similar happened to my game and it solved the thing :)
Thanks, I'll see if i can figure it out.
Score is weird... Shooting doesn't break anything...
EDIT: reloaded the tab 10 hours later and it works. Fun game! Sorry for the meh rating before!
Thanks for giving it a second chance. I haven't had that specific issue myself, I wonder if there's any way to reproduce or repeat it.
Player kinda feels heavy. Cool game though
